  1. Dear @Roshan321, Before reading further, I suggest making a supermarket run quickly and getting yourself a large pack of diapers, because the excrement that's about to unfold for you won't be pleasant. But I'm sorry, I have to do this on behalf of all the members of the forum. AutoLanka forums has always been a place for sharing knowledge and personal experience about cars. A lot of senior members (including myself) joined over a decade ago and have slowly grown as members and gained so much knowledge. This is because most members are genuine, helpful gentlemen. On top of that, genuine members always try to learn from others without trying so hard to prove a point. My last two posts on this thread was saying exactly that. I was trying to get you to not try so hard (while getting members here also to give you a chance). Moderators including myself have been totally impartial. But you went ahead and made a mess of the situation. I'm sure you know what I am trying to bring up here so you better put on one of those diapers now. When I first read that post by @Saranga_S, I thought that it is too much of a coincidence for a new member to pop out of nowhere all of a sudden and say good about the vehicle in question. Then I read the full post and my suspicion was doubled. Then I read @iRage's response and I thought we maybe onto something here. So I had to dig in and everything started to make sense... I'm not going to tell you how I found out, but we know. In fact, we knew from the first post made by you using the @Saranga_Saccount, but I requested the moderator team (and other members who posted) to wait silently. As expected, you took the bait and responded as @Roshan321. So my question is... what do you have to say for yourself? How desperate are you to create fake profiles, post as a genuine owner, and to respond to your own fake profile thanking yourself for doing so. Maybe change that diaper before answering. Or pretend that you didn't see this - but rest assured we'll know when you read this. Finally, thanks to the moderator team (especially @iRage) for staying silent and helping me carry out this sting operation. Also special thanks to @Hyaenidae for the corporation and helping me hide one of his posts to keep things undercover until we were completely sure. --- Moderators, I'm not sure how we should proceed. We'll have a discussion separately I guess.

  2. I was typing a very long response but @iRage's post above says it all. So I'm not going to re-iterate. The administrators and moderators of the site have access to more information about members and their activity. That's basically all you need to know. I requested permission from @MADZ to post the evidence here and he gave me the all clear. The moderator team has seen this already so that's sufficient for now. We don't have to prove anything to you. You talk about democracy... didn't you ramble on for 7+ pages on this thread with YouTube videos from Peru and Russia while the moderators gave you a fair chance? Didn't moderators advise other members to stop insulting you? There are many posts by other members that I personally removed because they were offensive. There's "democracy" for you. There is always a place in the forum for genuine members. But you crossed the line here by being deceitful and misleading members. Also, you say that you don't have time to waste here, but you had time to create a fake profile, cook up a story and post from both accounts alternatively to get attention of the members here. Who is wasting time? I'd like to see you try and share photos of the car. Please do.

  3. @Saranga_S....we have strong (technical) evidence to prove that you and Roshan321 are the same person (there is a reason why some of us said certain things in certain ways as we were testing out your legitimacy). @Davy is one of the members of the admin/moderator team who has access to this evidence, so there is a reason why he is stating what he is stating. If any of our members want to create multiple accounts and give in to their multiple personality disorders..so be it..as long as the contributions these different accounts make are positive and meaningful. If you had given honest and balanced feed back of a vehicle; then this would not be an issue. There is no vehicle on this planet that is perfect but it is a bit hard to fathom that a completely new and unproven vehicle is superior than a host of vehicles that have proven itself for almost 20 years. What you and Roshan321 are resorting to is just simply guerrilla marketing tactics where you just use one account to re-enforce whatever the other account has stated (with no factual evidence other than video clips in languages none of us understand that are single sided). You are more than welcome to post pics of your vehicle and even do an honest review of your vehicle. Please do not post warranty certificates and purchase invoices as they contain private information. Posting private information on a public forum is not a good idea and we do not want to be responsible for having some poor DFSK 580 owner's personal data published over here (without the person's knowledge). I do believe it is time we clean up this thread and maybe even lock it up.

  7. Hi guys....Its being some times since logged and posted on forum. But followed al the topics almost everyday Couldn't stay without commenting on this topic... I am not a owner neither going to be a owner for DFSK 580 , But lets say a Victim of a similar vehicle. So this might not be 100% relevant to this said vehicle. I have owned (not any more) a JONWAY A380 for a period of 4 years. (A copy of a RAV4- 2003-2006) model, Manual Gear(F5M41) , 4G18S Engine. Vehicle was purchased B/N from Agents (Softlogi*Auto**** ) At first when just brought the vehicle , it was a one of the superb vehicle for use (at least under the impression). Interior was leather, Acceleration was really good, Paint was shining was very happy with the vehicle, Fuel figures were also not so bad (10-11 kmpl city and 13kmpl outstation). All started with a passenger side seat belt warning light. It illuminates and warns despite no one is sitting , when checked closely it didn't have a sensor to detect if a passenger is sitting or not! Airbag warning light came about a week after...(Agents tried to correct this unlimited times) but even at the time of selling also error was not corrected Plastic started cracking and breaking after about 6 months of use. (Stereo cover, interior Handels, dashboard trim prices...etc). once you remove a plastic cover you can not fit it again as clips got broken. Plastic parts so much breakable no more different than tictac box plastic. Plastic wheel cover lost almost all the clips in a period of about 2 year use. Windscreen rubber beading was brittle and cracked! Black plastic trims on mirrors were scaling Under the impression that mechanical parts are freely available as Mitsubishi 5M41 , 4G18S gearbox and engine, but they were mismatching (Eg- Finding a clutch plate was a nightmare ! only agents help was remaining) Corrosion... nothing could stop it, Door edges, front collision bar and any sharp edge or where a paint chip In Summary had to rely on Agents for sourcing parts.Part prices were very expensive as agent had monopoly over spare parts. Some how managed to live with the help of agents for 4 years. But Thanks to technicians advice made up my mind to sell despite a loss of 2mil, as he claimed that no more spare parts will be imported as mother company is closed in china and yes not the company is totally closed ! even website ..... I cant say same will happen to DFSK, But Chinese are changing their models like people are changing cloths and spare part bank is not maintained. I don't know if a agreement between agent for sourcing spare parts after model is discontinued is available or not ! In summary- Until Chinese will prove there after sales are reliable I would stay away from a Chinese

  8. Hi All, My Toyota Vitz KSP130 2015 (YOM) gives an unusual whistle sound when I accelerate. This does not happen always. This happens when I drive for sometime long (2 - 3 hours) continuously or when I drive in the hill country or when on S (Sports) mode. I suspect it's happening when I'm on a low gear or when I accelerate fast. When it starts to come, as I accelerate the whistle sound goes up and when I take off my foot from the pedals it stops. When I'm on S (Sports) mode a burning smell also comes. I don't know these two are related. This is really annoying and need your expert opinion to resolve this. TIA. Cheers Madhawa007

  9. This is what we like to see - real owners sharing their experience instead of spamming the forum with youtube links and fake profiles. That's what Roshan321 AKA Saranga_S should've done from the beginning (I still believe he's just playing the fox who had lost its tail) Do consider posting a review and create a dedicated thread for your ride if possible. Who knows, maybe you'll be the one to finally convince the skeptics to part with their tails!

  10. As Davy mentioned....we see a lot more information about members and their posts than the standard members. We are not basing this purely on email addresses attached to usernames/handles. You are not providing an unbiased view on anything except make unfounded claims and totally disregard any constructive critisism by citing more unfounded facts. A member can create several accounts for legitimate reasons (if there are any that does not involve seeking professional psychiatric help) and as long as it makes a positive contribution. Not for deceit. Right now our issue is not with the vehicle but with your deceitfulness.

  11. You shouldn't have tried to stop and start the engine I guess. Only option is now to carry it to a reputed place/agent to do a proper scan to see possible water damage to engine and sensors.

  12. I am sorry but the above few comments you have made takes away all your credibility and your understanding of build quality and your ability to distinguish materials... 1. The X-Trails control arms and other suspension mounts or sub-frame components are as good as any of the other vehicles like the CRV,RAV4, etc...and these vehicles are used around the world for 100 of thousands of km everyday. I know for a fact that these control arms are made out of strong alloys...For your reference..here are two pictures...the old rusted out one is part of the lower suspension and control components of a 13 year old X-trail. The black CA is a replacement unit brand new from DFSK. Look at the quality of the welds around the bushing inserts. The X trail has a stronger and much more cleaner weld (if it is a weld or complete molded unit I do not know) what the DFSK unit seems to have a much thinner weld. So I do not know what you mean by saying the DFSK's control arms are better. (just so you know...I am 99% average car buyers or even enthusiasts go compare control arms of vehicles yet alone look at the control arms of their own cars unless something is off....so...hmmmm The XPander does NOT have poor build quality. Far from it...it is neither better or any worst than cars like the Innova. The difference is it uses a lot of hard plastics and synthetic material for the interior as the vehicle is for developing markets and harsh usage. Hard plastics and synthetic materials do not mean poor build quality. Funny how you say the MG crossover interior looks cheap. It looks exactly like the interior of the DFSK580...exactly ! replace the rectangular air vents with circular ones they both are the same ! So when you were buying a car you checked how much money they have invested in production plants ?

  13. Well you have the many traditional options for that price range. Resalable depends on how long you plan to keep it. If its a few years, I would stick to Toyota and avoid Hybrids. Otherwise if you want to be adventurous, http://autolanka.com/forums/topic/21020-dfsk-580/?page=8&tab=comments#comment-325705

  14. Dude you are living in a hotbed for spare parts ? even for most of the older cars (1980's corolla's etc - parts can still be found in Kurunegala) 141 won;t be a problem.

  15. There are number of places that bring down parts from Thailand (brand new) in fact they are cheaper than the used parts of Axio imported from Japan. Actually with this car you don't need to use used parts even for mechanical stuff
    1 point
  16. Mechanical parts will not be a problem..... Body parts...If the car is an Axio, you can walk it to one or two neighbouring shops in Delkanda and find all the parts to build yourself a complete car. Well..with the Expor Corolla that will not be the case. You are not going ot find mountains of car parts, but you will find them. Importing parts, if you have to, is not that complicated...you will always find a supplier who can bring it down from Dubai, Thailand, Singapore, etc....

  17. I don’t think that 141’s parts are that much rare in SL, because the car had been imported in heaps for the 2008 era permits. AFAIK 141 carries the same doors of the Axio, so no worries for them. I checked the quick sale site and most of the body parts are available there. If any model had been imported in large quantities to SL, parts are available. There is a bit of rarity in parts, because they were not so popular as the Axio. Another fact is that most of the body parts importers are sourcing out parts mainly from Japan, as there were no 141s manufactured for the Japanese domestic market. But now it’s been well over a decade since the car was introduced to SL, you might not need to worry about importing body parts. But you might have to search a bit. That’s all. What you said about importing parts from Dubai is not correct, because the same car was sold in countries like Thailand and Singapore, where there are plenty of importers to source you the parts. But I don’t think that you’ll not be able to find body parts in SL, as it was a bit popular car in SL. If something cannot be found, just get it imported from Toyo*a Lan*a and the insurance guys would pass you the required amount of money. p.s - Why worry when you are from Kurunegala? There are plenty of car parts available there.

  19. These forums are to help people and not mock them. If you were a Toyota owner you would know what happens at Toyota Lanka and why many owners don't go there. I honestly don't talk big about my daily ride or defend it cuz its just an asset that supports my day trip up and down to work. Forums are where People with prior experiences can share a deet or two to help each other rather wasting time and money by looking out for each other as motorists and citizens of this country. If you have no suggestion or knowledge in this topic please let other kind hearted experts support. Be a man and help people without making lame jokes pl. Thnx
