  1. Allion is a better car in many ways.Hardest part is finding a home used genuine car.Never buy from a car sale.If you are in a hurry get the vitz or else you will have to spend few months going from ad to ad to grab a good allion.

  2. Agree with most of this...however the engine dynamics are slightly different. Being a Turbo charged kei car you will be straining the engine a lot more than the NA Vits...especially on long highway drives and outstation hilly drives. So the engine does get worn out a lot more...This is why I always say I will never buy a used kei car even in Japan because I see how these things get used Only exception would be a low mileage car from a city but those are as expensive as a brand new one over here. Ff 99% of your driving is done within the city then something like the Stingray will be good as that is what the car is built for. If not..then you are better off with a larger capacity all rounder. In Japan kei cars are for city use and Japanese buy cars to fit the purpose unlike we Lankans. I too feel the best option of the two cars for the OP would be the Vitz...unless you are willing to look at other brands....unfortunately you do not get the larger capacity Vitz in SL which is a lot lot better (feels almost like a different car).

  3. I had the same experience in Maradana. I was told the the damper was broken because I kept the manual in thr cabby. Was lucky enogh to get it replaced under warranty . But now i have seen this post I feel there is something wrong in the way they unhinge the damper to clean the cabin filter. 4. Shall check what the manual says however I recall seeing a mention of non-silicate coolant. Anyways, I dunno if I’m just so “lucky” with the agent as I found out today that they hadn’t refitted the glove compartment properly after the service. Went back there to make sure I informed them of their substandard post service checks. It was a small thing, but seriously these are the stuff that differentiates carelessness and attentiveness. For an agent, I’d expect the latter. Also got my bumper lower lip fixed at the body shop for like 700/- while I waited. The service center said they checked it and it would cost a lot so they recommended I claimed insurance for it. The reason for the high cost: broken clips!?! I know those things cost peanuts and the body shop guys got it done in under 30min. Sigh!
