  2. Update: 11 years and 08 months in service, 125,855km done. First cut & polish job done. I was seeking a reliable person with good workmanship and patience. I noted one gentleman at Delpe Junction, Ragama and kept my eye on his jobs for last two months and noted that he is the person I was seeking. Clearly asked him not to touch lamps, and cover all the necessary parts including all beading. (I had bad experience with cut and polish job done with my previous Viva Elite. They spoiled beading a lot) . Also asked him to cut and polish inner cavities of the Alloy wheels as that area is a painted area already became dirty. Gentleman was asking two complete days (he works alone) and Rs.9,000/= for the job. But I was so happy after seen the result and paid Rs.10,000/= him appreciating his quality service. I can recommend this gentleman Mr. Sanjaya Kumara at 071-7156263 & 071-7906869 for a good job . (Hope this will not violate any forum rules) Here you go latest update.

  3. 1. Yes 2. As far as you find a well taken care of unit and continue to take care of it...it will be kind to you. (This applies to all cars) 3./4./5./6. : There are other BMW connoisseurs in the group..I will let them answer. 7. Audis are fun to drive....having said that...sounds like you have driven the normal average Japanese/Toyota econo boxes. Look at the following: - Toyota Mark X...there are a very few GRX130s around in SL and seen a few for sale recently on the quick site. One of the very few fun to drive RWD sedans to come out of Japan. There are plenty of X120s around but I feel you are looking for something newer ? - Lexus IS...same as above...few around..but haven't seen any for sale. - Mazda 6 quite a few around but a decent one is harder to find... - Nissan Fuga, Skyline, etc are also nice to drive but you do not get newer models around in SL.

  6. @matroska here is my source of information for Civics. You can find a blog entry under his name about Civic hatches. It will give you an overall view of the car. No idea about the fuel economy of new Civic. But am sure it will not perform as other smaller hatchbacks in Sri Lankan market. Specially comparing to cars like Vitz or Fit. But as @matroska said, most cars perform well in fuel economy in long distance driving.

  9. I’ve replaced 2 old LG 12k units with latest model LGs last month. New units are made/assemble in India and due to some bilateral agreement with 2 countries Indian units are much cheaper they told me. Anyhow build quality is very good and I’m pleased with the performance. Outdoor units are very quite and without any vibration. They are with new R32 gas and I find them very economical, almost half the consumption compared to old units which were about 12 years old and with R22 gas.
