  1. a few years ago I had the same sort of ding on my then brand new mazda3 which was only a week old when I grazed the edge of are half open window. Annoyed the hell out of me but didn't want to paint the entire boot so left it the way it is. After some time you forget about it

  2. DIY or not, trying to repair this dent will only mess up the boot lid. Leave it as it is if possible.

  3. Now this is a very subjective question - you have to be specific. Are you looking for a Sedan/Hatch or is it that you don't have a proper idea but you have 2.5 Million and want any car that does really well in fuel - in that case a Kei car is your best bet I think you can manage a 2015 Mira for that price.

  4. Hey Davy , Thanks for the information . Luckily I haven't touched my steering components yet. Car is a 2008 one with 100k on the ODO. Will be vigilant about this issue.

  5. We're not talking about suspension bushes here mate. Excessive play in the steering rack is repaired by machining metal bushes (in a lathe) and fixing them in the rack. This can only be done if the play is minimal as the rack cannot be machined too much. So if you delay the repair, you'd end up having to replace it. Even with the issue, the car drives normally and without any rattles on smooth asphalt roads. But as soon as you get to an unpaved or roughly paved road, you feel a (very slight) vibration through the steering with a rattle. Faint at first and slowly getting worse. This was my experience and I know many others who had the same issue. What model year is yours by the way?

  6. Any amount of repairs/mods/temp-fixes could have been done during the many decades the car has been maintained .It is clear that the battery is being charged some how,. starting with your battery, you have to get the services of a qualified autoelectritian. + you run a serious fire risk with having exposed open wires.. Good luck,.. p.s. upload a pic of the alternator if u can. TT.

  7. Well, this topic has been discussed under several threads. so it would be good to recall those again. 1. What is dual clutch ? 2. According to this honda vezel has a dual dry clutch which makes the situation worse. 3. Also you can check whether your car has been recalled by the factory in http://recallsearch4.honda.co.jp/sqs/r001/R00101.do?fn=link.disp What Honda did was a software upgrade to tolerate the issue. I am not sure whether this was available to SL users as well. If so someone who already went through that upgrade can share the experience. Well, according to your information, you purchased a 2014 manufactured car in 2018 with a 25k odo. Please answer to the following questions 1. Was the previous user owned the car for the first time in SL ? Was this imported to SL in 0 milage (you can't get vezels brand new to SL since its for JDM only). Nowadays it is very easy to change odo meters. It won't take you even 10mins. there are lot of places around delkanda, wijerama, nawinna. Its just resetting the a number. 2. What was the level of wear of threads in the tires ? were those first set of tyres (originally fitted at factory) or replaced at a later stage. If the mileage what you are claiming is correct there is no reason for change the original tyre set. Keep it mind people are smart to conceal the reality. Above 1 and 2 happens not only in SL but in the Japan as well. Since I have been to car exporters in Japan I know they do all sorts of repairs before they dispatch them out. 3. Even some one can cheat you in 1 and 2 above, here is another place to check in your car. First photo showing the side of the drivers seat of a 2014 vezel of 100k odo and second one shows 2014 vezel of 60k. For a 25k car this should be comparatively less unless someone with obesity driven the car. When you actually sit on the seat you feel the level of actual depreciation of the cushion. From that you can guess what was the exact mileage of your car should have been when you purchased it in 2018. In SL its very rare someone would replace or fix the drivers seat for concealing the genuine mileage. But there may be .. 4. Last one is the emission test reports and repair history records (if done through a proper place). Still there are ways to get around of service history records and emission test reports. If you still looking for a place other than local Honda dealers I can recommend a place. Please let me know. Have a nice day. take care

  8. Davy I am with you on this one. I think the issue accurs around 40-50k of mileage.Mine was 75k when I bought the car and luckily I did not have to replace the rack. A properly done re-bushing resolved most of the vibrations ( hats off to mazna for a job well done) Better to address the issue before it becomes worse.

  9. but it says the the vehicle is empty with a HiAce van shell, so would not that mean that the 90,000 is just for the converted vehicle but not the interior fitment ? So the fitment you want would depend on how deep one's pockets are and how crazy the ideas are...

  10. The marked price for this is $90,000 all inclusive. A proper motorhome in Aus will cost about $150,000 so this conversion appears to be far cheaper. Hopefully there are no Sri Lankans of Bangladeshis doing this business over there. If so, you will probably find two accident-writeoffs welded together and being sold for very cheap.

  11. Nope...lets put it this way...its based on the Pajero...mixed and matched from the 1st and 2nd generation...the actual car is rare in Sri Lanka <sorry i am being pedantic here...maybe I should give it to Pajero 1st gen reply>
