  1. IF I am not mistaken your car has all 4 drums. and your pics don't show a booster,.. If drums allround, you'll have 8 shoes,.. A major job in it self,..the stoppers . pay good attention to rubber parts like the flexible brake hoses, and the washers. As for the rad,.. post a pick of the core with the cap off, and how are the hoses? + the cap? And for safety,.. check your t belt,..

  2. I have KDH206, its similar to 205 but 206 has a 3.0L VG Turbo engine. Basics first! KDH200 and KDH205 are discontinued models, i think they were stopped in 2009 if not wrong Both KDH 205 and KDH206 arent full time 4WD, they are auto AWD, which means the AWD kicks in only if the rear wheels lose grip and this happens up to a certain speed limit. Its very hard to notice the AWD turning on, I have felt it only once I get an average fuel economy of about 10-11km/l with A/C and im not very fuel conscious. If i drive more economically probably i can get more km/l. My cousin has a 205 and I can ask him the fuel economy when I get back to SL Super GL comes only as 5 door. DX and GL package comes with 4 door sometimes Again Super GL comes with dual A/C as standard and as far as I know the fuel economy between the 2500cc and 3000cc is pretty similar. Basically the 205 is the auto-AWD version of 200 and 206 is the auto-AWD version of 201

  3. Yeah! the 15km/l doesnt seem right I dont think my Hiace has done more than 11km/l but then again im not worried about it cuz its a 2 tonne vehicle with a 3000cc and I dont think its right to expect more from it.

  6. An old man goes to a doctor and complains that he has problems with his sex drive. The doctor asks "How old are you"? The man says he's 80 Then the doctor says it's normal for people to not have a sex drive at that age Then the man says "But doctor, all my friends who are same age as me, say that they do it at least three times a week" So the doctor replies "So you also say the same thing to your friends" Hope this answers your question.

  9. So I thought of doing a review on the Hiace after reading TIVs review on the Leaf The most commonly asked question is the fuel economy so I'll start with, I always drive with A/C and It averages about 10-11km/l and super diesel is a must. Normal diesel will damage the injectors and clog the DPF unit It has got plenty of pulling power, never had any trouble with overtaking or hill climbs even when driving with A/C on. The 3000cc has a VNT turbo which will kick in at any engine speed and the turbo lag is minimal, i read somewhere the DPF helps reduce the turbo lag The driving position is one of my favorite thing about the Hiace, you get a very raised up driving position something like what you find in LR Discovery. The raised driving position will give you feeling of driving a very big vehicle but you will get used to it later on. This is the best place to sit in the van You get a fat comfy seat and you can rest your feet straight on the space behind the front seats with the dual A/C blowing at you. The dual A/C does a good job in cooling down the van's interior, even in hot areas like Colombo or Batticaloa it cools down the van in about 5 mins after being parked in the sun and you wouldnt want it blowing at your face for a long time cuz it gets quite chill. Theres plenty of space in the boot and even with the 3rd row seat up theres enough space for luggage I have done two services in SL and both of them were done at Mag City, the first one costed me 29,000LKR and the second one costed 18,000LKR. All oils and filters were genuine Toyota ones. So far I have fixed alloy wheels and replaced the Kumho tyres with Continental tyres. The Kumho tyres weren't that comfy Fixed Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited for fog lamps and high beams I went for a Japanese Pioneer head unit with Panasonic reverse camera The Modellista lip and eye lid came from Japan, probably its factory fitted

  10. WTF Nilantha. Stop being such a cheapskate man. Keep your eyes on the road rather on the RPM meter and Speedometer. You are being a hazard to yourself and other people just to get 1kmpl more.
