  1. A guy who buys a waGon R will run faster than Bolt when he hears about the 300k. Also since its a tiny KEI car, will it survive so much abuse? 300k in 3 years? Is that even possible? So NO, Nobody will buy your Gon R, another baiiya will buy it maybe for about 1.5 mil and sell it the next day saying “ Lady doctor owned, only 32,000kms. Never used spaper wheel, never driven in rain, yada yada” for 3.2 million!

  2. I asked this guy. He said the depreciation in 3.5 years and 300,000km is 23.762719% from the purchase price. He also said you should sell it 2 years before the 3.5 years.

  3. This is the type of guys who buy these cars. The guy who bought a reconditioned Wagon R is claiming the cars purchased from the agent will loose value ,because they use the wrong type of oil.And that the recons wont loose value, even though its marked recondition on the book.

  4. What exactly is the truth about Euros? I ask this question because I have been regularly using Euros since 2003 or so. The one I am using right now has been with me for 8 years.

  5. Are you seriously asking about a price change that is to happen in the future? How can anyone possibly predict that? The forum doesn't have any politicians, or fortune tellers, so you'll just have to wait like the rest of the country to find out.

  6. Overall, I’m still ok with the ground clearance and it is definitely better than my older Axio. I guess it has to do with the stiffer shocks on the Civic. My accident with the trench was purely my fault as I misjudged it completely. By the way, does anyone have problems getting rid of bird poo etchings (not on ceramic coated cars)? I’ve used a sealant on the paint and it still leaves an awful mark that doesn’t go without some buffing. Never had this with my Axio.

  7. You have to go to an AC joint who are familiar with these type of compressors. Axio. Vitz, Belta also has similar ones. Do not go to a maka bass place which will ultimately cost you more and also make your car a lemon. There's a valve inside is the main culprit as I know. Have to dismantle the compressor to say what can be done.I heard some guys know to repair it though I couldn't point you to an exact place. Above link shared by BlueRaiden had one of the places mentioned. First check if anything else is contributing to the problem and keep compressor replacement as a last resort.

  8. Not recommended to replace compressor anything other than 260 compressor which is very much different with 121 or 240. Your whole AC system will fall apart again and fuel economy will also drop due to added load and ECU will go nuts. First see whether you can repair it. If you really need to replace the compressor try to find atleast a used genuine 260 compressor which variable displacement clutchless type. I know this is bit expensive than a normal compressor but 121 or 240 use regular compressor with a clutch and their ecus are calibrated for that.

  9. AC problems in 260s axios and 141s are very common. First of all it is a good choice to make sure there are no leaks in the ac system and the refrigerant level is sufficient. (since you said it was repaired) Go through this topic for additional info. If it absolutely comes to replacing the compressor go through this topic.

  10. I put it in my Civic hatch. I think the whole idea is to line most of the carpeted area in the cabin with a second layer making it easier to clean. Here are the pros and cons in this Pro Since it's designed for the car, the fit is good Has a second set of coil carpets (quasi 3M) which can be removed and cleaned and also kept in place using grommets. Due to the bucket like shape, all large debris collects in the footwells without traveling all over the place ( almost perfect...) Cons The clips and the whole way it's kept in place is rather flimsy. Since it's a tight fit, the clips might slip out. I extended the edges of the carpets on the door edges by glueing a same color Rexin strip and sliding it under the door lining so it wont slip out. It seem to work. Does not cover all of the areas, especially under the driver and passenger seat a the second row carpeting on goes under the first row seating only partly. My main justification was it was the ease of cleaning and the car didn't come with OEM carpets as it was to be used as the daily school runner, so we are talking about a lot of dirt getting dragged in to the car.

  11. Yep. I too have seen cool designs but practical usability is a question. Better to invest in a good set of carpets.

  12. Yeah, I have seen two cars with these 3D carpets when I was in a car wash center. Those people have added another set of 3M like carpets over these 3D carpets. It seems these 3D carpets were fixed to the floor and could not understand the purpose. Car wash people removed the 3M like carpets and washed them separately and vacuumed the 3D carpets. So the process was same as a car without 3D carpets. It looks nice but seems like the an extra cost.

  13. Does it actually serves the purpose of carpets? Just for looks. And you will have to use a carpet set on top of it anyway.

  14. Did you check if the cooling fans in the engine bay are working when the AC is engaged?

  15. Never ever do that. 121 and 240 compressors are clutch driven and the 260 compressors are clutch-less variable displacement. 260 compressors tend to fail. When that happens some cheap asses bypass the electronics, gets a recon 121/240 compressor modifies it and fits it. Its larger compared to clutch-less compressor so will need some modifications. But believe me it won’t last long and will probably fall apart on the long run. Also it won’t give the same efficiency as the original compressor. So if the issue really is due to a failing compressor your best bet is to replace with a Jap recon 260 compressor. About a year ago, I replaced mine for 33,000/= including labour.

  16. Assuming someone buys a brand new Wagon R from A*W now and use it for 3.5 years and approximately 300,000 KM (Taxi Service). How much depreciation can you expect? Lets also assume the vehicle is services regularly and everything is looked after very well.

  17. Hi all, I'm seeking to buy a Toyota Axio 2007 or 2008 these days. Is it a good choice to buy this before the budget in November?? How much affect dollar rate issue to the current second-hand vehicle market? I appreciate your valuable suggestions. Thank you.

  18. The gaskets and the head of my Cefiro Engine blew off.. Searched the whole country for a Singa Version engine and all I could find was a Jap engine (which is completely different to the neo engine including the mounts). So returned the new engine back and sold the car without the engine for dirt cheap. half a million loss.. Now looking for an automatic Presea again and do another presea project.
