  1. @matroska @Vernon De I have both Service and Workshop manual. I never let it borrow because I had a worse experience. You know typical Sri Lankans. So anyone want it can pay the copy fee to me and I will make it ready. You can collect it from Piliyandala or Union Place. Thanks for understanding.

  2. Well, this is my 2 cents. The car will treat you back if you treat it properly. I have a 2012 prius with 100k on the clock. Still battery is at 100%. I normally do all services at TL for the peace of mind. Yes, their may be places cheaper than that with the same quality. But if you are not 100% sure about those places, agent is the best option. One more thing I noticed is that people put a lot of pressure on battery. They try to yield max saving by putting the car to EV mode all the time and stress the battery out. I'm not sure this a good thing. I drive mine as a normal gasoline model, and always on power mode, which give me the extra acceleration. I really don't look at the battery, still it gives me around 16 kmpl average from home to Orugodawatta and back. That is 100 km daily up and down.

  3. I suggest to get the check up done with the agent for the peace of mind. You can always request the seller for it if the deal is to happen. After all you are paying good money running in to couple of millions. If the seller is genuine they will agree if not look else where there are plenty of cars around

  4. Yes, it is true and when you use it, the usable capacity reduces and you may need repair or ultimately replace the battery. This is a known fact when anyone purchase a hybrid. The problem is asking price for a used hybrid is very high, for an example lot of people advertise 2012 Honda Fit GP1 for 3.4-3.5 M that is not worth. They should price it considering the usable capacity of the battery, then they can sell it easily and person who buy it, can replace the battery if needed.

  5. They charge something like 6K or 7K and provide a full detail report. Besides agent that 3rd party business (c*r checks) does the same job. Maybe they go lil bit deeper than the agent. Do it if you don't know the vehicle(or the service history) personally. You won't regret!

  6. The CRV is now assembled in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and word is that Japan is also considering small volumes (not yet though).....quality wise they would all be the same and the only difference would be market specific configuration differences (which these days are pretty much next to none) and accessories and features. Here is the thing...the CR-V has NOT been launched in Japan yet ! The launch date in August 30th. Right now Honda is offering pre-orders. The chances are if you order one form Japan you will have to wait for a while. Whilst from AUS you could get one right now. Also, Japan will be getting a Hybrid variant as well. Do some checking....think hard..because if the price is not that far off, and features/accessories are not too basic, you might want to strongly consider getting one from the agent so that you get the manufacturer's warranty and not have to be at some thrid party car sales guy's mercy.

  8. If you go to a "hybrid battery repair centre" you will see how much business they have, and more and more such places are opening islandwide. If the battery was so bullet proof, they should go out of business isn't it ?

  10. Hi, Follow this easy steps to update Sri Lanka Map in Civic 2017 (It may work with 2018 model) 1. On the Navigation System go to Settings > Device > Update Map. Follow the on-screen prompts until instructions to “continue the update process” on this website appear. Please note that after pressing “Update Map”, you must wait at least 1 minute before unplugging the USB drive from the USB port. 2. Plug the USB drive into your computer and follow prompts on Garmin Express. Garmin Express will verify if there is a new map update available. Download https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/express Note: The map download time varies based on Internet connection speed and map region. 3. Download Sri Lanka Map here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0hRt-DMQ5KpN0pITlFWelNvbjg/view?usp=sharing 4. Once Garmin Express has finished copy and replace downloaded "gmapsupp" file to the USB. 5. Plug the USB drive back into the vehicle USB port. On the Navigation System go to Settings > Device > Update Map. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the update. Notes: You cannot use the same map download for multiple Honda navigation systems. Doing this will result in a locked navigation device. The map update will take up to one hour but may vary based on the map region. During this update your Honda navigation system must not be turned off. Therefore, the engine must be running while the vehicle is parked outside or in a well-ventilated area. Before getting started, familiarise yourself with and follow all applicable laws in your area. Please contact your dealer with any questions or concerns. 6. You arer Done. Enjoy....!!!
