  1. Old oil can be a reason for stiff steering when warm, because the oil loses it's viscous properties with age. However, before changing oil: 1. Are there any power steering oil leaks? Open the bonnet, remove the power steering fluid reservoir cap and start the car. Turn the steering from side to side while revving the engine and observer the fluid in the reservoir. If you see bubbles forming, it's likely that there's a leak. Of course check for visible leaks as well. 2. Check the tension of your drive belt. Specifically the belt that drives the power steering pump. If the belt is old or isn't tightened properly, it may not be driving the pump when warm as the belt expands when warm.

  3. When the LED package was just a kit (before it was offered as a package for x period of months) the silver part was just a separating silver garnish, so it wasn't a string of light or anything...the LED part was that it had projector lights.

  5. No...but yes... A non-resident can never buy a brand new car in Japan because in order for the manufacturer's dealer to release the car to the buyer the car needs to be registered. Registration cannot be done unless you are a resident of Japan with a council approved parking slot that has been inspected by the police. So what happens most of the time is that people (sometimes car salesmen and sometimes individuals) purchase cars under their names, and then de-register it for export. It is quite common for cars that have a pretty good demand overseas. Thus, all the paper work will say "used" even if the car had not even been taken out of the dealer's lot. There after the buyer of the car could choose to put it in to auction so someone else can buy it (which happens quite a lot) or that person might decide to export it himself. So...You CAN buy a brand new car at auction. The issue is our car salesmen in SL are not the most transparent or honest of people..so you have no idea what you get. Having said that....if the OP RECENTLY bought a 2017 car...then it is highly unlikely that it is brand new. In Japan it is not possible that a brand new car was just left idling around for all this time (if it was imported recently). Then on the other hand if it was imported sometime back....it is highly unlikely that your brand new Axio was not used for all this time and it was just sitting around. If it was the latter case..then just because it wasn't registered a long time ago it doesn't mean that it was not used.

  6. Avoid Wasana like the plague. My Best friend knows them very well, his exact words to me“ganda nan epa, jarama wahana”. Need I say more?

  7. I think as far as the smart key goes, it could be reprogrammed and sold for a hefty price, that could be a reason why you didn't get it. But the car having so called being called "brand new" by the car sale, you should have demanded for both the keys as a new programmed smart key could set back around 25k AFAIK. And how about the audio system, did it come with one or does it have a 2 din hole. Such a pity really.

  9. Make it a point to inspect tires once in every month or so as a preventive measure. Within course of last one year period I found three nails stuck in the tires but only one needing a puncture repair but that too was done in advance. If not for the inspection I could have easily got into trouble on the road.

  10. Is it like after driving for about an hour? If so, some Japanese head units(stereo) have a reminder to take a break. Mine does it too every hour.

  11. Did you ask her if she can repeat it in English ? It is not your ECU that is talking ! It is probably your ETC unit asking for an ETC card. in some instances it can also be the stereo.

  12. Congratulations on even daring to think about leaving the Prius-pack and looking elsewhere! Best bet is to go with the Agent and their 4 year warranty on parts and service. Peugeots are pretty solid built cars meant to be driven hard. The AT gearbox issue from the early 2000s should be solved long ago now. The random minor errors like from bulb failures caused by corrosion of connectors should not be an issue if you drive often. In case you smell trouble, you need not worry during the warranty period.

  13. Check radiator cooling fan. the fan-clutch may need replacing. Has the original factory fitted condensor been removed? The thermostat valve is at the lower rad hose.+ Check the radiator cap. TT.

  14. Did u get a parking violation ticket? if yes, every hour from the violation was sighted x Rs.60. how to pay a fine? calculate your total and get a parking ticket from those electronic machines. eg: 5 hours x Rs.60 = 300. automatically the system cancels your fine. But keep a copy of both incase something goes wrong. After 24hours, every passing day Rs.1080 per day upto 14 days. After 14days, Rs.15,000 Per month The rates are for Cars/Van category

  15. @TRC I think you have flagged your own self as a hypocrite.most of the AL members are people who posses extensive knowledge in terms of vehicle usage, mechanical knowledge and overall knowledge in every aspect of a vehicle. If you search this forum you may notice that there are lots of newbies seeking knowledge and advices from AL members. That's because then can rely on AL members advice.if you had asked for advice/help before buying this car of yours then you probably would have thought twice before purchasing the car. I think you are just being paranoid for buying what majority of the users consider to be a worthless vehicle and you are trying to feel good about your decision to buy this at the first place.anyway like mentioned above if you are happy with your car then by all means enjoy. it's your baby..

  16. Thanks for all the feedback people! This forum is Guerrilla marketing indeed! Filled with hypocrites who don't know what they are talking about!

  17. @TRC i guess it hurts when people start giving negative feedback about something you spent 4mill on but see people dont go complaining about a particular vehicle just because they're jealous - that type of behavior might go down in a make-up or beauty care forum where most of the members are 16 old girls .. usually AL is not a forum like that and most often members try to prevent someone else falling into the pit they fell in. Given Micro's track record the complaints come as no surprise for us. Slightly contradictory statements.... If you're happy with your car that's good for you you don't have to worry about selling it in 3 years or the resale value (which you assume will reduce due to negative comments) cos when people do find the perfect car for them they usually keep it for ages .... happy motoring
