Chaw all this depends on the budget you’re willing to allocate to this. An engine swap is messy. It will take time, you don’t know the condition of the engine you’re buying and then there’s the whole process with the RMV. If you have the cash and the patience AND the luck go for a d series efi vtec engine. If you’re slightly insane I’ll even say B16. But repairing the current engine or doing an efi conversion would be a good option for you if the budget is restrictive. Why not first get a proper diagnosis as to what’s the issue. Oil burning most likely is due to engine wear and you might be up for a rebuild if it has run 250,000 without one. That in itself is a costly affair. But at least it won’t cost you as much as a new engine and you would have an excellent reference point to your own car as you’re sure all components are new and has been fixed. We cant decide for you. That depends on the above parameters I’ve mentioned. But what we can do is advise you on the pros and cons of each. Let me know if you need any further guidance.

Before a certain year there was no "SMART STOP PACKAGE". Idling stop was offered as an option across "certain" grades. So those may have the same old meter. 2. There are a few cars that are different packages but says it has Idling Stop. But that is an error in the listing. If you look at the switches you will notice that there is actually no Idling Stop switch.

This is for information of Honda Fit GP5 (Hybrid) users. One of my friend's Honda Fit GP5 (YOM: 2014/05, personally imported, 25k millage as at now) gave several error massages regarding ABS system, power steering system, city brake system, etc, one by one continuously and repeatedly after switch on the car (for the first time of its history) at yesterday day time. Releasing from parking brake and car readiness to move also got delayed several minutes. but after it come to ready mode (about 10-15 minutes later), no issue and car running well. At evening same issue came again. Scanned the car but no proper fault code detected. Finally, checked the 12V battery and found that its the root course. It was weak. Replaced the battery and the problem solved. If you found this kind of issue, first check the condition of 12V battery. Do not waste your money going hear and there with makabass opinions.
