Max voltage difference threshold of prius battery pack is 1.2V. So you pack have some more time. You will be able to find a prius battery cell for less than 100$ in ebay. BTW what is the mileage of your prius. Sometimes loose contacts in battery pack also cause such voltage drop. In such case, cleaning contacts and refitting pack will solve the issue.

1. Unless the work involves tinkering of the adjoining panels it is not necessary to remove the beadings. Unless absolutely necessary it is not advisable to do so because these parts may have become deteriorated or hardened and may get damaged/deformed during removal and re-installation. Of course your finish would be better if you can remove them and paint but be prepared to replace them if damaged. 2. What they call a "sale paint" is something that is done purely for cosmetic purposes. In some cases, depending on the texture or the color of the paint it is not possible simply to apply a paint coat over it. Also it is not advisable to apply a coating over an already hardened paint. If an auto paint is to last it should be applied over a newly applied primer. 3. Not always. Again depends on the type of the paint. For example if you have a thin clear lacquer coating over a metallic paint, a cut and polish might not work.

Hi eyepea I travel quite often at night (7PM to 10PM) and early morning (3AM to 6:AM) on the Puttalam-Anuradhapura road. Elephants are not often on the road but generally they can be seen somewhere between the 7km to about the 10km posts before Karuwalagswewa, and again between Thabbowa tank and before Saliyawewa. I have observed that these elephants are rather shy and I have had no issues. They are either on the side of the road or beyond the electric fences. By and large I avoid travelling between 10pm and 3am, not so some much because of elephants but because of reckless bus drivers. I don't advice speeding in these areas (clearly road marked as elephant crossing areas) because should you suddenly encounter a lone bull or a herd, you may end up hitting them. I travel at a speed where I could easily control the vehicle in case of an emergency. Ekendra

@pressealover - You seriously underwent ayurvedic surgery? An AYURVEDIC? Let me explain you young guy... Since it's a back pain it's come under neurosurgery. Which is very sophisticated branch of modern medicine and even very experienced hands with full facilities will think twice before opening into your spine. The ayurvedic man must be hell of a crook open into your spine. It's so happy that still you are in one piece. Modern medicine is known as evidence based medicine., so it just updated so rapidly with new knowledge. Ayurveda is obsolete myth which lot of countries even doesn't allow to practise. Resolving symptoms doesn't mean cure.underlying cause must be addressed. Meet a neurosurgeon and seek for MRI to see what has happened. Sigh

Nahh, there are protruded parts in the front panel that looks to extend beyond the dimensions of the standard double din. Pretty sure it wont fit.

Off-Topic: Clearly there are cases of ayurvedic medicine helping people, but i for one don't want to try a medicine cos a 1000 years ago some guy said that XYZ oil will cure ABC. Like Chan5 says modern medicine is evidence based, so there's some level of comfort in knowing there's been years of testing and research done and documented to prove effectiveness. But all that said and done, we are human afterall. When all that is logical has been tried and failed the survival instinct takes us down the path of faith and belief. And I guess this is one instance it led you correctly.

me and couple of our friends have a death wish, sort of. we actually go searching for wild elephants who will roam in streets. as terry said dont turn your engine off and dont make too much noise be caucious when driving in these areas. if you see an elephant on the way stop and let it pass if its walking towards you. slowly reverse. Dont panic. it wont charge at you for no reason... * most of the time

Full paint job, To original colour code, Sikkens paint, Paint booth, 5 week duration (initially promised 3 weeks), Cost me 90,000 if I remember correctly. I went back and they re-painted the bonnet again for free. The bubbles started to re-appear after about a month and I got it re-painted (third time) from another place and now no more bubbles. Apart from that, the rest of the car perfectly done. They had a good painter/tinkerer back then. Not sure about how it is now. The place - Sha Auto Park - Kaduwela. Beware of "thousand talks" of the managers. Show 'em that you know better.
