  2. It shows FOB Values of Toyota Allion and Premio are well below than Mazda Axela. That means Allion and Premio are over priced by Car Sale vendors??. or other mean of Tax formula not depends on FOB +++. I think these are the Brand new car prices of JDMs for Japanese market which Sri Lankan Customs interprets for valuations purposes.

  4. If you have a leak in the radiator system then it would overheat and boil over. Before attending to other things make sure that the system is sealed and the pressure builds up as the engine warms up. If there is a leak however small it is, the pressure will not hold up and as a result the coolant would form steam bubbles inside the engine block thus reducing the physical contact between the block and the coolant and hence the overall cooling capacity. Also make sure the radiator cap is of the correct type and it seals properly.

  5. I think the point you are missing is that for your original budget you really can't get anything newer or nicer and you are probably going to end up with a car the same vintage as your Sunny but with the risk of a car with an unknown history. You increased the budget but still again I really can't see any improvement on the latter fact. You might be able to go for a slightly larger car with a few more bells and whistles that is of the same vintage but nothing drastically newer. The best source for you would be to hit the usual car advert sites and see what is being advertised for your budget or even do some leg work around the car sales. Car prices seem to have changed quite drastically over the last few weeks so unless any of the forum members bought a car within this time frame the info you get might be slightly off.

  6. @osanda19.... man I owe you many beers ! After cleaning the MAF with CRC CO Contact Cleaner, my rattle can sound in the engine disappeared. A big improvement in acceleration under load. I have been having this headache for couple of years and never thought it was the MAF. I almost changed the fuel pump and injectors because it was clear the engine was starving for fuel under load. This thread saved me money. I hope mods can stick this thread right up where it belongs :-) and help others with similar engine rattles. So so happy now :-)

  7. I do not know the technique, but a gentlemen from the large scale importer in dematagoda told me that the gauge cluster and the head unit both can be swapped to english for just LKR 5000, but they do not share the contact unless you purchase the car from them; If you can try to convince them to share their guy! the chap advertised on the other website quotes LKR 20000 for installing English in the ONLY the gauge cluster. He claims there is not method to work on the head unit. I'd say wait till things become a bit more mainstream..
