  2. Get a 90s Corrolla diesel...You can molest it,rape it,gangbang it with double penatration and finish it of with a 10 man bukkake bath and it'll still keep running while returning zillion miles to the gallon fuel figures.

  4. Hey don, is sisira's nickname chuti by any chance? At the exact name location, I got some work done by a guy called chuti. Was okwith the work. My trusted mechanic for any japanese car repairs is saman. His garage is in vihara lane wellawatta. 0712299000 He will alwys try to save money for u by getting cheap parts. Thats my only worry:-) His charges are very reasonable. Another mehanic I recommend is, Pushpakumara @ nedimala junction.

  5. Wrong ! Lighter cars handle better than heavier cars because the heavier the car , the more centripetal force will be generated which means the more centripetal force generated, the more traction will be need to stay in the direction of travel. And the reason why hatchbacks dont handle well "Generally" is not because they are "a hatchback ofcourse". Its because almost all of them are front wheel drive and the front wheels have to move the car forward and change the direction at the same time as oppose to a RWD setup where the front and the back wheels are doing only one task at a time; which is not helped by the fact that hatchbacks dont have equal weight distribution on wheels. So in conclusion you probably shouldn't talk about S**t you dont know, stick to your AXIO's !

  6. Think you are in love with that aqua. If your sole purpose is saving money. Just buy jap Diesel. CE110 CE 108 COROLLA. CT 190 corona or carina. With a 2C diesel engine. You will get same running cost 7rs per km. And it has so called 2airbags and ABS. maintenance will be pretty easy. Parts, should i mention? Gearbox is 25k. Engine is 150k. Every body panal is damn cheap. You have spares from various brands. Compressor is 15k. Radiator 15k. You can replce all parts of car and 2 engines at a price of hybrid battery. Plus it can repaired by any local garage so you will not be ripped off by hybrid specialists. Believe me ,currently im touchering toyota 2C engine with eight (300km weekend) long trips per month and all A to B on weekdays during whole month. I pumped 21500 worth of diesel and travelled 2800km during last month.(mix driving) It outrun your Aqua and maruti too unless you run in heavy city traffic with bumper to bumper stop. A decent diesel will cost you half price of aqua. Buy a land from remaining 1.8mil. See the profit after your 10 year run.

  8. hi watchman, I dont want to steal this fellows thread to exchange some fruitful thoughts with you. But this time you sound bit serious so i can't help replying back. and ofcourse I am jobless today so just staring at the screen with autolanka open. My opinion is that for some guys, his car is his passion. there are some female counterparts as well. for some its just a mean of transportation. to get yourself from one place to another. just like a bus a trishaw or a motor bike. there is no passion no setiment and all they will see is steel on four wheels. So for the latter I think its the cost of fuel that matters the most but for the former there are millions of things that matters. its like a having committed relationship with your car. Considering the sri lankan economy and the income level of people we can't expect an in between group that will compromise a 50-50 situation. So just tell the bugga whether its a Demio or a Fit!!!

  9. hey Komi, No offence but this watchman guy is really funny. cos as far as I have noticed, for some technical issues that Auto lanka memebers had to discuss bugga has nothing to say. But if its some sort of opinion poll like this bugga has lot of amusing stuff to say. He surely got to be a watchman!!!!

  13. If petrol expense is the only reason you want to get rid of the car that you love so much, why not 1. take a bus every now and again 2. carpool 3. buy a motorcycle
